Association of Rotterdam Ship brokers and Agents
The history VRC dates back to 1889. The current membership of the association comprises more
than one hundred ship's agency companies in the Rotterdam port area. Covering both
independent agencies and owner' offices. They are active as liner- and/or tramp-agents.
The principal aim of VRC is to monitor the ships' agents interests in every respect. Much
attention is paid to keeping the port of Rotterdam attractive for ships and cargoes. In other
words a fair balance between price and quality.
Rotterdam Port promotion Council (RPPC)
Rotterdam Port Promotion Council is a non-profit organisation and focuses on cooperative
marketing of the port of Rotterdam for all her members.
Holland International Distribution Council (HIDC)
HIDC is a private, non-profit organization providing matchmaking services for logistics
partnerships in Europe. All advisory services are free of charge, totally confidential and
without any obligation.
Short sea Shipping Information Bureau
Short sea Shipping Information Bureau provides information about container, RoRo, LCL
(groupage) and tank container services. Details such as: destinations within Europe,
 sailing frequencies, type of containers offered. Furthermore, information on ports is
available. We can give tailor made advice to importers and exporters.

A hub in international container logistics in Rotterdam, ECT concentrates on the transhipment
